‘Chaucer FFWD’ was developed by FFL alongside creative organisations Small Green Shoots & Louder Than Words with funding from the Arts Council England.

Led by renowned spoken word artist Charlie Dark, this project worked with four youth organisations across London [Hackney, Lewisham, Camden, Southwark] & four spoken words artists to explore the Canterbury Tales and transform them into modern day stories, relevant to young people today. The project participants have been engaging with their libraries to gain skills in spoken word, poetry, story telling & characterisation. The tales have explored the parallels in human relatedness despite the 600 years that have passed between Chaucer’s original works and today.
